PROJECTS

10 STREEET SW UPGRADES

 LEDS completed the topographic survey, preliminary and detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation for this City of Salmon Arm capital works project in 2018. The project included approximately 185m of road widening, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, road drainage and street lighting, all per the City of Salmon Arm Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw. LEDS completed this project in partnership with the City of Salmon Arm.

2 STREET SE SANITARY, STORM AND WATER REPLACEMENT

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this City of Salmon Arm capital works project in 2016. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included approximately 275m of 100mm AC watermain replacement, 300m of 150mm AC Sanitary main replacement and approximately 170m of storm main replacement. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works. LEDS completed all aspects of this project in partnership with the City of Salmon Arm.

10 AVENUE SE STORM EXTENSION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this City of Salmon Arm capital works project in 2018-19. The project included the tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included approximately 165m of 500mm PVC Storm Sewer installation, required storm appurtances and full Road Rehab. LEDS completed all aspects of this project in partnership with the City of Salmon Arm.

BC HOUSING – SUPPORTIVE HOUSING APARTMENTS – COURTENAY, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a 52 unit supportive housing apartment in Courtenay, BC that was completed in March 2019. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/ 2019 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management, extensive erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of 52-unit housing complex. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with tendering assistance and progress review services, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with BC Housing and Horizon North Manufacturing.

BC HOUSING – SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AND TOWNHOUSE DEVELOPMENT – GRANDFORKS, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a 52-unit supportive housing apartment in Grandforks, BC that was completed in September 2019 the project consisted of a 42-unit apartment style complex and 10-unit townhouse style complex. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/ 2019 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management, erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of 52-unit housing complex. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with full tendering and contract administration services, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with BC Housing, the City of Grandforks and Horizon North Manufacturing.

BC HOUSING – SUPPORTIVE HOUSING APARTMENTS – NORLAND AVENUE – BURNABY, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a 52-unit supportive housing apartment in Burnaby, BC that was completed in September 2019. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/ 2019 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management, extensive erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of 52-unit housing complex. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with full tendering and contract administration services, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with BC Housing, the City of Burnaby and Horizon North Manufacturing.

BC HOUSING – SUPPORTIVE HOUSING APARTMENTS – RICHMOND, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a 52-unit supportive housing apartment in Richmond, BC that was completed in April 2019. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/ 2019 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management for the construction of the temporary 52-unit housing complex. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with tendering and contract administration support, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with BC Housing and Horizon North Manufacturing.

BC HOUSING – TEMPORARY SUPPORTIVE HOUSING – VANCOUVER AFFORDABLE HOUSING AGENCY

 LEDS provided civil engineering and consulting services for 10 temporary transitional modular housing projects in Vancouver, BC with sites spread throughout the City. The projects we initiated by VAHA (Vancouver Affordable Housing Association) to ease the homeless housing crisis in Vancouver. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/ 2019 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management and erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of these temporary building sites which often required innovative and unique design considerations. This project was completed in partnership with BC Housing, Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency and Horizon North Manufacturing.

CEDAR STRET

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this Private Developer Road Construction and Drainage project. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the Client and on behalf of the City of Revelstoke. The project included the construction of approximately 200m of gravel interim roadway, approximately 165m of 150mm PVC watermain, 165m of 75mm HDPE Sanitary force-main, and 3 culvert road crossings.

CHERRYWOODE SUBDIVISION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this urban 32 lot subdivision within the City limits of Salmon Arm. The subdivision included approximately 400m of sanitary and storm and 290m of water main extensions, full road construction and a comprehensive storm water management plan. The design of the subdivision also included various engineering and consulting tasks including feasibility analysis, conceptual and preliminary planning, City liaisons, storm water management design, full construction services, contracting, tendering, contract administration and full record documentation.

FOOTHILLS ESTATES SUBDIVISION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this urban 28 lot subdivision within the City limits of Salmon Arm. The subdivision included approximately 900m of sanitary and storm and 700m of water main extensions, full local and arterial road construction and a comprehensive storm water management plan. The design of the subdivision also included various engineering and consulting tasks including feasibility analysis, conceptual and preliminary planning, City liaisons, storm water management design, full construction services, contracting, tendering, contract administration and full record documentation.

FOOTHILL ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this City of Salmon Arm Emergency Relief project in 2017. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included the installation of a 1780mm x 1360mm CSP Pipe Arch Culvert with pour-in-place concrete headwall inlet and outlet structures for drainage of Hobson Creek after the existing culvert at the road crossing failed. This project also included to re-routing of 45m of an existing 205 AC Water-main through Horizontal Directional Drilling utilizing new 200mm HDPE Water-main to achieve a depth approximately 2m lower. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works. LEDS completed all aspects of this project in partnership with the City of Salmon Arm.

FORESHORE SANITARY FORCEMAIN REPLACEMENT AND RELINING

 This project started in January of 2016 and included two phases. The first was an open cut section of force-main replacement, the replacement was for approximately 850m of C900 PVC force-main including 3 tie-ins, air release and site restoration. The second phase was a relining component which included the relining of approximately 1,800m of existing sanitary main, along with access construction, rig mat placement and removal, manhole relining and replacements and a section of open cut replacement. The role LEDS played in these projects was for the construction inspection and site administration services required by the City of Salmon Arm. LEDS worked alongside the design engineer to provide on-site inspection services and assistance in the contract administration requirements.

GREEN EMERALD ESTATES SUBDIVISION

 LEDS provided civil engineering and consulting services for this 24 Lot Subdivision in Salmon Arm in 2015. The project included the detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation as required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included approximately 820m of 150mm PVC Water-main, 800m of 200mm Sanitary Main, 125m of 250mm PVC Storm Main, 225m of 375mm PVC Storm Main and 450m of 450mm PVC Storm Main. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works.

HILLCREST HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for the Hillcrest Heights 32 lot subdivision within the City limits of Salmon Arm. The subdivision included over 400m of sanitary, storm and water main extensions, full road construction and a comprehensive storm water management system. The design of the subdivision also included various engineering and consulting tasks including conceptual and preliminary planning, City liaisons, topographic survey, test pitting, storm water management design, full construction services, contracting, tendering, contract administration and full record documentation.

HILLCREST MEWS SUBDIVISION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for the Hillcrest Mews 21 Lot Subdivision in Salmon Arm in 2019. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation as required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included approximately 150m of 150mm PVC watermain, 210m of 200mm PVC Sanitary main, 210m of 250mm storm main replacement and a storm infiltration system. This was followed by the restoration and construction of 225m of full roadway.

HILLER ROAD WATERMAIN

 LEDS completed a watermain extension project for the District of Sicamous in 2017, this extension included the survey, design, tendering, contract administration and record documentation for approximately 420m of 250mm watermain. LEDS finalized the design and permitting requirements for another 550m of watermain extension which includes two CP Rail crossings, a MoTI crossing, and a river crossing and utilized C900 DR18 PVC Fusible Pipe and Horizontal Drilling construction. The project included many reporting procedures, and permitting requirements, as well as, a significant implementation and coordination plan throughout.

HUDSON AVENUE REVITILIZATION

 This project was started in the Fall of 2014 and was put on hold until 2016/2017. Blake Lawson was the engineer of record and lead designer for the project and Lawson Engineering and Development was awarded the tendering, contract administration, inspection and record documentation component and the project was completed in August 2019. The design included full downtown revitalization including water and storm main upgrades, major shallow utility upgrades, full downtown urban roadworks upgrades (brickwork, streetscape, parking, and sidewalks). This project was completed in partnership with the City of Salmon Arm and their team of engineers, engineering assistants and public works department personnel.

HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL – JASPER HOSTEL – JASPER, ALBERTA

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a brand-new hostel in Jasper, Alberta that was completed in June 2019. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/ 2019 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site and off-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management, erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of this 3-building hostel site, including staff and management living spaces. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with tendering support, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with Hostelling International and Horizon North Manufacturing.

PARKS EDGE SUBDIVISION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this urban 24 lot subdivision within the City limits of Salmon Arm. The subdivision included approximately 360m of sanitary, storm and water main extensions, full road construction and a comprehensive storm water management plan. The design of the subdivision also included various engineering and consulting tasks including feasibility analysis, conceptual and preliminary planning, City liaisons, marketing material, topographic survey, storm water management design, full construction services, contracting, tendering, contract administration and full record documentation.

FAIRFIELD MARRIOT HOTEL – PENTICTON, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a Fairfield Marriott Hotel in Penticton, BC. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2018/2019 and ongoing by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for all on-site civil design works including site servicing, site grading, storm water management, erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of this 90 Unit hotel. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with topographic survey, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with Mundi Hotels Enterprises Inc..

MUNDI HOTEL – OLIVER, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a Coast Hotel in Oliver, BC. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2017 / 2018 by the LEDS team. The project included significant consideration for grading through-out the parking and to accommodate the flood plain elevations in the area. LEDS also prepared site servicing, site grading, storm water management, erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of this 90 Unit hotel. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with topographic survey, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with the Mundi Hotel Enterprises Inc. and Horizon North teams.

LAKESHORE ROAD SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this City of Salmon Arm capital works project in 2017. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included approximately 590m² of concrete sidewalk and 290m of concrete curb. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works. LEDS completed all aspects of this project in partnership with the City of Salmon Arm.

RAMADA HOTEL – REVELSTOKE, BC

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for a Ramada Hotel in Revelstoke, BC. Engineering consulting services were provided in 2016 / 2017 by the LEDS team. LEDS was responsible for significant on and off-site civil design works in addition to the typical site servicing, site grading, storm water management, erosion and sediment control plans for the construction of this 85 Unit hotel. In addition to the design, LEDS provided our client with topographic survey, construction layout, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation for all civil aspects of this project. This project was completed in partnership with Canwest Hotel Ltd. and Horizon North teams.

School District 19 – Arrow Heights Sanitary Main Extension

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for the Arrow Heights Sanitary Extension Project for School District 19 in 2017. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by School District 19 and the City of Revelstoke. The project included approximately 75m of 250mm PVC Sanitary Main and 80m of 200mm PVC Sanitary Main. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works. LEDS completed all aspects of this project in partnership with the School District 19 and the City of Revelstoke.

SHORELINE DEVELOPMENT

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for the Shoreline Development along Shuswap Lakes waterfront in 2017-18. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction surveying, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included water, sanitary and storm servicing complete with a box-culvert detention system and full road construction.

 LEDS provides full surveying services from topographic survey, construction survey to records survey. LEDS has extensive surveying experience with skilled and educated staff that can tackle jobs in all conditions.

WOODENHEAD (MUTAS) LOOP SANITARY AND WATER REPLACEMENT

 LEDS provided full civil engineering and consulting services for this City of Revelstoke project in 2019. The project included the topographic survey, detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Revelstoke. The project included approximately 50m of 200mm PVC watermain replacement and 175m of 250mm PVC Sanitary main replacement. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works. LEDS completed all aspects of this project in partnership with the City of Revelstoke.

WOODLAND HEIGHTS

 LEDS provided civil engineering and consulting services for this rural/urban 14-lot subdivision in Salmon Arm in 2015. The project included the detailed design, tendering, contract administration, construction inspection and record documentation required by the City of Salmon Arm. The project included the extension of sanitary and storm mains along the approximately 390m frontage of the subdivision. This was followed by the restoration and replacement of the existing surface works.
